A 3D wheel alignment machine is an advanced automotive diagnostic system designed to measure and adjust vehicle wheel alignment angles with high accuracy. It consists of high-resolution cameras, wheel targets or reflectors, a computer system with specialized alignment software, and a display unit that analyzes parameters such as camber, caster, and toe. The machine helps improve vehicle handling, tire life, and fuel efficiency by ensuring the wheels are aligned to the manufacturer’s specifications.
To operate the machine, position the vehicle on an alignment lift and attach the wheel targets securely to each wheel. The cameras capture alignment data and transmit it to the computer, where the software analyzes the measurements and displays any required adjustments. The technician then adjusts the suspension and steering components as guided by the system until the correct alignment specifications are achieved, after which the final alignment report can be generated and the equipment prepared for the next use.
