The feather remover is a poultry processing machine designed to quickly and efficiently remove feathers from slaughtered chickens, ducks, and other birds after scalding. It typically consists of a rotating drum or disc fitted with rubber plucking fingers, a stainless-steel housing, a water spray system, an electric motor, and a drainage outlet. The machine is constructed using durable and hygienic materials to ensure efficient feather removal while minimizing damage to the bird’s skin.
In operation, properly scalded poultry is placed inside the machine and the motor is switched on to rotate the drum or plucking plate. As the bird tumbles within the chamber, the rubber fingers rub against the skin and pull out the feathers. Water is continuously sprayed into the machine to wash away loosened feathers and keep the plucking area clean. Within a short period, the bird emerges largely free of feathers and ready for further processing. Regular cleaning and maintenance help maintain efficiency and hygiene.
