A fogging machine is a device used to disperse liquid chemicals—such as disinfectants, insecticides, or pesticides—into a fine mist or fog for effective coverage over large areas. It typically consists of a chemical tank, a heating or pressurizing system, a nozzle, and a motor or engine (electric or fuel-powered). There are two main types: thermal foggers, which use heat to vaporize the liquid into dense fog, and cold foggers (ULV – Ultra Low Volume), which use high air pressure to break the liquid into tiny droplets without heat.

In operation, the machine draws the liquid chemical from the tank and either heats it (in thermal foggers) or forces it through a high-speed airflow (in cold foggers). This process produces extremely fine droplets that remain suspended in the air, allowing the fog to penetrate hard-to-reach areas such as cracks, vegetation, and indoor spaces. The operator directs the fog toward the target area, ensuring even distribution. Fogging machines are widely used in agriculture, public health (for mosquito control), sanitation, and warehouses because they provide fast, efficient, and uniform application of chemicals.
