A handheld laser marking machine is a portable device used to mark, engrave, or print permanent information such as text, logos, serial numbers, and barcodes onto materials like metal, plastic, wood, and glass. It is widely used in manufacturing, workshops, and product identification because it produces clean, precise, and long-lasting marks without using ink. The machine consists of a laser source (commonly fiber laser), a handheld marking head, a control unit or touchscreen, and a power supply.

In operation, the user inputs the required text or design into the machine through the control panel or connected software. When activated, the laser emits a concentrated beam of light that is directed onto the surface of the material. The high-energy laser beam heats or vaporizes a thin layer of the material, creating a permanent mark. The operator moves or positions the handheld head over the surface while the machine controls the marking pattern. The process is fast, accurate, and does not require contact with the material. After marking, the machine is switched off and safely stored.
