Operation:
The plasma cutter operates by connecting the workpiece to the ground clamp and supplying compressed air or gas to the plasma torch. When the torch trigger is activated, a high-frequency electrical arc ionizes the gas, creating a plasma jet with temperatures exceeding 20,000°C. This concentrated plasma stream melts the metal while the high-velocity gas blows the molten material away from the cut, producing a smooth and precise edge. The operator guides the torch along the cutting line while adjusting the cutting current according to the thickness of the material. After cutting, the machine is switched off, the air supply is disconnected if necessary, and the torch consumables are inspected and maintained to ensure continued cutting performance and long service life.
