A tractor slasher, also known as a rotary slasher or rotary cutter, is a heavy-duty agricultural implement designed for cutting grass, weeds, bushes, and light vegetation. It is attached to a tractor through the three-point linkage system and powered by the tractor’s Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft. The machine consists of a robust steel deck, gearbox, PTO driveline, cutting blades, safety guards, and a support wheel or skid system for maintaining the desired cutting height. Operation:
The tractor slasher operates by connecting it to the tractor’s three-point hitch and PTO shaft. When the PTO is engaged, power is transmitted through the gearbox, causing the heavy-duty blades beneath the deck to rotate at high speed. As the tractor moves forward, the rotating blades cut and mulch grass, weeds, and light brush. The operator controls the cutting height by adjusting the tractor linkage or support wheel. For safe operation, the area should be cleared of stones, metal objects, and other debris before use, and all safety guards must remain in place while the machine is running.
