A pipe bending machine is a mechanical or hydraulic device used to bend pipes and tubes into required angles or shapes without breaking or flattening them. It is commonly used in plumbing, construction, automotive, and industrial fabrication work. The machine consists of a bending die (former), clamp, pressure arm or hydraulic ram, and a base frame. Operation
When the machine is operated, the pipe is first placed and fixed securely between the bending die and clamp. The operator then activates the bending mechanism, either manually, mechanically, or hydraulically. The pressure arm or die applies force to the pipe, gradually bending it around the former to the desired angle or curvature. The bending is done slowly to avoid cracking or flattening the pipe. Once the required bend is achieved, the pressure is released, and the finished pipe is removed. The process ensures smooth, accurate bends suitable for installation and fabrication work.
