A terrazzo machine is a construction finishing equipment used for grinding, polishing, and leveling terrazzo, concrete, and stone floors to produce a smooth, glossy, and decorative surface. It consists of a heavy-duty rotating base plate fitted with abrasive grinding stones or diamond pads, an electric motor or engine, a water feed system for cooling and dust control, and a handle for guiding the machine during operation. The machine is built to handle large floor areas while ensuring uniform surface finishing.
In operation, the machine is moved across the floor while the rotating grinding plate smooths and levels the surface by removing roughness and irregularities. Water is supplied continuously to reduce dust and prevent overheating of the grinding tools. Multiple passes are performed using progressively finer abrasives until the desired smoothness and shine are achieved. Terrazzo machines are widely used in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and residential floors to produce durable and aesthetically appealing finishes.
