A Borehole Rig is a heavy-duty drilling machine used for creating deep holes in the ground to access underground water, minerals, or geological samples. It is commonly used in water well drilling projects, especially in rural and urban water supply systems. Borehole rigs are mounted on trucks, trailers, or crawler bases for easy movement to different drilling sites.
The machine operates by using a powerful drilling system that rotates or hammers drilling tools into the ground to penetrate soil, rock, and other underground formations. During operation, drilling rods and drill bits are connected and lowered into the ground while compressed air, water, or drilling mud helps remove debris from the hole. Once the required depth is reached and water is found, casing pipes and screens are installed to support the borehole and allow clean water flow.
