A submerged pump, or submersible pump, is a waterproof pump designed to work completely underwater. It consists mainly of a sealed electric motor, impellers, pump casing, suction inlet, and discharge outlet. These pumps are commonly used in boreholes, wells, drainage, irrigation, and sewage systems.
Operation
When electricity is supplied, the motor rotates the impellers, creating pressure that draws water into the pump through the inlet. The water is then pushed upward through the discharge pipe to the required location. Since the pump operates underwater, it does not require priming and works efficiently with reduced noise and cavitation.
