A steel bar bender is a construction machine used to bend reinforcement steel bars (rebar) into required shapes and angles for structural concrete works. It consists of a heavy-duty base frame, a rotating bending disc or plate, bending pins, an electric motor or hydraulic system, and a control lever or panel. The machine is designed to handle different bar diameters while ensuring precise and consistent bending without cracking or weakening the steel.
In operation, the steel bar is placed between the bending pin and the rotating disc according to the required bending angle. Once the machine is activated, the motor drives the disc to rotate, forcing the bar to bend smoothly around the pin until the desired angle is achieved. The process can be controlled manually or automatically depending on the machine type. Steel bar benders are widely used in construction sites, fabrication workshops, and reinforcement plants to produce stirrups, hooks, and structural reinforcements efficiently and accurately.
