A Drum Carrier is a material handling device designed for safely lifting, transporting, and positioning industrial drums filled with liquids, chemicals, or bulk materials. It is constructed with a strong steel frame, drum gripping mechanism (clamp, hook, or cradle type), wheels or castors for mobility, and a lifting system which may be manual, hydraulic, or mechanical. The equipment is engineered to securely hold cylindrical drums of standard sizes, ensuring stability during movement while reducing the risk of spillage, injury, or manual handling strain.

Operation

To operate the drum carrier, the operator positions the device close to the drum and engages the gripping mechanism to securely clamp or hold the drum in place. Once locked, the drum is lifted slightly using the manual or hydraulic system and then carefully moved to the required location using the wheels or castors. After reaching the destination, the drum is gently lowered, and the gripping mechanism is released to place the drum safely on the ground or storage rack. The equipment is then reset and stored for the next use, ensuring safe and efficient drum handling.
