A stacker truck is a material handling machine used to lift, move, and stack goods—usually on pallets—within warehouses, factories, and storage facilities. It is designed as a smaller, more compact alternative to a forklift. The main components include a lifting mast, forks, hydraulic lifting system, wheels, a control handle or steering system, and either a manual, semi-electric, or fully electric drive system. Some stacker trucks are walk-behind, while others have platforms for the operator to stand on.

In operation, the forks are inserted under a pallet or load, and the operator activates the lifting mechanism. In manual stackers, a hydraulic pump is operated by hand or foot to raise the load, while in electric stackers, a motor powers the hydraulic system for lifting. The mast guides the forks vertically, allowing the load to be raised to the desired height for stacking or storage. The operator then moves the truck to the required location and lowers the load by releasing the hydraulic pressure. Stacker trucks are widely used because they are easy to operate, cost-effective, and ideal for handling goods in tight spaces with moderate lifting heights.
