Operation
To operate the maize disc mill, position the machine on a stable, level surface and ensure all components are securely fastened and properly lubricated. Connect the machine to a suitable power source or start the diesel engine and allow it to reach its normal operating speed. Adjust the gap between the grinding discs to achieve the desired flour fineness. Gradually feed clean, dry maize into the hopper at a controlled rate to prevent overloading. As the maize enters the milling chamber, it is ground between the rotating and stationary discs until it reaches the required particle size before being discharged through the outlet into a collection container. After milling, switch off the machine, disconnect the power supply, and thoroughly clean the hopper, grinding chamber, discs, and discharge outlet to remove any remaining flour. Routine maintenance, including inspection and adjustment of the grinding discs, lubrication of bearings, checking belt tension, and tightening loose fasteners, ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation while extending the service life of the machine.
