A dumper is a construction vehicle used for transporting and unloading loose materials such as sand, gravel, soil, or debris over short distances. It has an open box or skip (container) at the front or rear, which can be tilted to discharge its contents. Dumpers are commonly used on construction sites, mining areas, and road works because they are compact, easy to maneuver, and suitable for rough terrain. They are usually powered by a diesel engine and may have four-wheel drive for better stability.

Operation
When the dumper is started, the engine powers the movement of the vehicle and its hydraulic system. The operator drives the dumper to the loading point, where materials are filled into the skip. It is then driven to the unloading area. To discharge the load, the operator activates the hydraulic mechanism, which lifts and tilts the skip forward (or sideways in some models), allowing the materials to fall out by gravity. After unloading, the skip returns to its original position, and the dumper is ready for the next cycle.
