A jaw stone crusher is a heavy-duty machine used in mining, quarrying, and construction to break large rocks into smaller, usable sizes. It consists of a fixed jaw plate and a moving jaw plate, both lined with hard material such as manganese steel. These plates form a V-shaped crushing chamber where the rocks are fed from the top. The machine is powered by an electric motor or diesel engine and is designed for primary crushing of hard and abrasive materials like granite, basalt, and limestone.

Operation
When the crusher is switched on, the motor drives a pulley and eccentric shaft that causes the moving jaw to move back and forth. As the moving jaw approaches the fixed jaw, it compresses and crushes the rocks between them. When it moves away, the crushed material falls downward due to gravity. This process repeats continuously, gradually reducing the size of the stones. The final crushed material exits from the bottom opening (discharge gap), which can be adjusted to control the size of the output. The machine operates in a continuous cycle until the required size reduction is achieved.
