A popcorn machine is a food preparation machine used to pop corn kernels into popcorn using heat. It is commonly used in cinemas, shops, events, and homes. The machine typically consists of a heating kettle (usually located at the top or center), a stirring system, a glass or metal cabinet, a heating plate, and control switches. It is often designed with a transparent enclosure so users can see the popping process, and it keeps the popcorn warm after preparation.
In operation, a small amount of cooking oil and corn kernels are added into the kettle. The machine is switched on, and the heating element raises the temperature inside the kettle. As the heat increases, the moisture inside the kernels turns into steam, causing pressure to build up until the kernels burst open and become popcorn. The stirring mechanism ensures even heating and prevents burning. Once popped, the popcorn is released into the lower chamber, where it stays warm and ready to serve.
