An electric grinding head is a rotating attachment used on electric grinding machines, die grinders, or rotary tools to grind, smooth, shape, or polish different materials such as metal, wood, stone, and plastic. It is made from abrasive materials like carbide, diamond, or grinding stone depending on its use. Grinding heads come in different shapes and sizes (cylindrical, cone, ball, or wheel-shaped) to handle various detailed or surface finishing tasks. They are commonly used in metal workshops, fabrication work, carving, and repair jobs.

In operation, the grinding head is securely fixed onto the spindle or collet of the grinding machine. When the machine is switched on, the motor rotates the grinding head at high speed. The operator carefully brings the spinning head into contact with the workpiece, applying light and controlled pressure to remove material or smooth rough surfaces. Different grinding heads are selected depending on whether the task is rough grinding, fine finishing, or polishing. After use, the machine is switched off and allowed to stop completely before changing or removing the grinding head.
