A grease bucket is a container used for storing and supplying bulk grease used in the lubrication of machines and mechanical equipment. It is usually made of metal or heavy-duty plastic and comes in different sizes depending on usage. Grease buckets are commonly used in workshops, construction sites, and industrial plants where frequent lubrication of equipment such as bearings, gears, and moving parts is required. The grease inside is thick and semi-solid, designed to reduce friction and wear between machine components.
Operation
In operation, the grease bucket is opened when grease is needed for maintenance. A grease gun or scoop is used to extract the grease from the bucket. If used with a grease gun, the gun’s intake end is placed into the bucket to draw grease into its chamber. The grease is then applied to machine parts through a nozzle or fitting. The bucket is kept closed when not in use to prevent contamination by dust, dirt, or water, ensuring the grease remains clean and effective for lubrication.
